New senior leader at Clarison Group

John Foster, Clarison Group's new chief commercial officer

The Clarison Group, a designer, manufacturer and installer of architectural glazing and façade systems, has appointed John Foster to the newly created role of chief commercial officer (CCO) for its UK businesses. Launched in February 2021, The Clarison Group combines four companies in the façade industry: Alucraft and Williaam Cox, both based in Ireland, and Alucraft Systems (ASL) and English Architectural Glazing (EAG) located in the UK. The group has over 400 employees and operates from six locations throughout the UK and Ireland.

John will start work as UK CCO on 1 July 2021, reporting to the Clarison Group’s CEO, Mark Oliver. As CCO, John is expected to lead the work, winning and pre-construction activities of the Clarison Group’s UK businesses, EAG and ASL. He will work closely with customers across the UK on projects designed, fabricated and installed by EAG and ASL.

Having been the commercial director of ASL since August 2019, John brings a wealth of experience to the role. He has previously held several executive roles for construction specialists, including commercial director positions at Saint-Gobain and Van Elle.

Mark, the group’s CEO, said: “John is well respected throughout the industry and has the experience to build the sales pipelines of both EAG and ASL. His appointment as CCO will help us deliver our goal of making the Clarison Group an industry leader in façades. By leveraging the capabilities and capacity of the whole Group, we can provide customers with lower risk, better quality and more sustainably delivered solutions than our local and continental European competitors.”

John added: “The Clarison Group is rapidly becoming the market-leading façade group in the UK and Ireland. I am thrilled to be part of this important stage in the group’s development. The UK façade sector has not experienced the same capacity and technical capability in a single domestic entity as the Clarison Group. Our sector is rapidly changing, demanding a higher level of engineering than ever before, and a focus on more sustainable and carbon-efficient practices. We are well placed to help our customers and partners to deliver these.”
