Siegenia bolsters Scottish sales and customer support

Leaders of Siegenia have hired a new member of sales staff and are recruiting a second, to promote the firm’s new and existing products and to provide support to Scottish customers. The move is part of a wider plan to increase market share in Scotland. Lisa Sturrock is to join the hardware company in May, and a new area sales manager is currently being recruited.

Lisa is to provide consultative support for the business. She formerly worked for Abacus Agents as commercial director. With 20 years’ experience in the industry, and having closely work with Siegenia’s team as one a key distributor for the last four years, Lisa brings both knowledge and established strong relationships with customers to the role, as well as a ready-to-go list of targets, according to representatives of the business.

“I am very excited to be helping Siegenia with their work here in Scotland,” said Lisa. “It’s a great opportunity to work with a company with such an excellent reputation in terms of product quality and service, and at a time when they have ambitious plans for the region.”

Ryan Thompson, Siegenia’s general manager, added: “Despite the tough economic situation at the moment, rather than cutting back we think it is essential we bolster our customer support and sales presence in Scotland. I have worked extensively in the region. It’s a vibrant, growing market. We therefore want to give our existing customers here the best support possible in their efforts to expand, as well as, of course, to grow our own customer base.

“What’s more, Siegenia has always set itself apart with its high service levels. Adding Lisa’s expertise alongside another technical salesperson will only enhance this. We have a bold plan to grow Siegenia UK significantly in the next few years, and the Scottish market is integral to this.” Follow the business on LinkedIn, here.
