Trade suppliers welcome Marcus Allen

Leaders of IronmongeryDirect and ElectricalDirect have appointed Marcus Allen as the businesses’ new financial director. Marcus brings more than 20 years’ experience to the specialist trade suppliers, having worked in senior finance roles at both regional and group level.

A qualified accountant who trained with PwC, Marcus has a proven track record of working with local management teams to improve profitably and grow businesses, the business’ leaders have reported. He has held senior finance roles across businesses including Navitas, Avnet, Hewlett Packard and. most recently, at Harman, where he led the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions through a significant change project. After that project ended, Marcus took on leading the international finance teams of a $1bn business that included the JBL brand.

“I’m excited to be joining IronmongeryDirect and ElectricalDirect at a time when the company is going from strength to strength,” said Marcus. “I look forward to working with the team to help drive continued growth and success.”

Outside of work, Marcus is a proud father of three grown children. He enjoys both football and cooking.
