Leaders of Ikon Aluminium Systems have announced that the business’ IKL50 PAS 24 outward-opening aluminium louvre doorsets (single and double) have passed the latest PAS 24:2016 testing regime.
Both doorsets were independently tested against Annex A: Security hardware and cylinder test and assessment and Annex B: Enhanced security performance for doorsets.
The doorsets sit alongside the company’s IKL50 PAS 24 fully welded aluminium security louvre system to form a suite of PAS 24:2016-approved louvred products. Ikon Aluminium’s leaders believe that Ikon is the only UK manufacturer to successfully achieve PAS 24:2016 certification on all of these products.
“The outward-opening single and double doorsets are ideal for applications which require both ventilation and security,” said Ikon Aluminium’s representative.
“Typical use includes access to a computer server, plant or generator room, secure refuse areas, bike stores and underground car parks, or for the secure storage of high-value goods, with airflow.
“The doorsets can be integrated into a façade. They are fully welded with mechanically fixed aluminium bird mesh.
“Both comprise 20mm steel security bars and a full-height, continuous, heavy-duty security hinge, and a high-security lock with a 29mm bar bolt, anti-snap euro cylinder and armoured strike. Single- or double-skin insulating blanking panels can also be fitted.
“The IKL50 PAS 24 fully welded aluminium security louvre system can be used as a fixed, top or side screen to complement PAS 24 door systems. It can also be used as a standalone product and can be glazed-in or fixed between structures.
“Ikon offers any standard RAL or BS coloured powder coat finish on all its aluminium louvred products.”
