Prefix launches ‘traditional verandah’ previewed at FIT

Stylish, Beautiful Verandah from PrefixFresh from the successful product preview at The FIT Show, Prefix Systems has now formally launched its ‘traditional verandah’ solution, with several installations already completed, as the company looks to expand its outdoor living range collection.

Verandah is another innovation from the in-house research and development function at Prefix Systems and brings to market a fully bespoke verandah option that can be installed in under four hours, offering a number of key design features. According to Prefix, verandah is capable of achieving a broad range of designs including straight lean-to, splayed end bars and ‘L’ shapes around corners, all with variable roof pitches.

Vernadah features ‘traditional aesthetics’ with detailed post, column covers and decorative brackets, while a crackle black finish is offered as standard, with other colours and options available. A classic option is also available, which satisfies the requirements for a simplified glazed canopy or carport with 25mm polycarbonate glazing.

Double glazed units are offered as standard and there’s the option of a gutter system or bar overhang detail without guttering. The traditional system has the higher specification aluminium glazing bars, whilst the classic option utilises the PVC-U clad glazing bars. Lead time is just 10 days and there’s the added facility to have the post and eaves beam delivered as one complete goal post, for even easier fitting on site.

Chris Cooke, co-director of Prefix Systems commented: “The interest in the verandah was far more than we expected at the show and we’ve a number of firm leads for the product. We’re actively helping to broaden the sales opportunities for our customers and this is yet another successful in-house development from our team.

“This product has a wide range of applications and with a powder coated superior crackle black finish as standard, it’s a product that really does radiate quality.”
