Rooming at the FIT Show

prefixPrefix Systems says it returned from its debut at the FIT Show with a large number of qualified sales leads, having ‘dazzled’ visitors with a range of inventive products for the extended living space market, including GardenRoom and its new UrbanRoom.

,One of the stars of the show was said to be the new prototype Clearview rooflight, which features triple glazing in neutral, blue and green tints, a variable pitch, fully insulated frame, completely sealed design and U-values as low as 0.6 W/m2K.

,Having built its success as a BBA accredited Ultraframe fabricator, in recent years Prefix has undertaken its own research and development programme which has notably yielded the tiled GardenRoom roof. This was a focal point on the stand, featuring a new insulated eaves beam designed to eliminate condensation on insulated roofs with an internal plasterboard finish. The insulated eaves beam ensures that ‘cold bridging’ is avoided, which is vital in preventing plasterboard becoming damp and mouldy over time, something that has become a real issue for installers and homeowners in this emerging sector.

,The new contemporary UrbanRoom was also a popular addition to the stand. It is designed to capture an ‘alternative audience’, who are seeking additional living space but with a more ‘contemporary twist’.

,The latest version of Prefix’s GardenRoom brochure was also ‘warmly received’, along with a new 28-page trade brochure featuring everything from Ultraframe’s Loggia to GardenRoom and even ancillaries.

,Chris Baron and Chris Cooke, co-directors of Prefix Systems, commented: “We had a wonderful and rewarding show with numerous quality leads and we’ve even committed ourselves to the 2016 FIT Show. It’s great to exhibit again in front of such enthusiastic visitors, thirsty for new dynamic products, which we had en masse.”
