UAP aims to unlock US market potential

UAP is set to exhibit at GlassBuild America this year for the first time. The specialist in locks and hardware for doors and windows is expected to showcase a range of door hardware at the US-based show, including intelligent locks and cylinders, letterplates, handles, numerals and viewers.

Barry Halpin, national sales director for UAP, said: “UAP has ambitious growth plans both within the UK and overseas. Exhibiting at GlassBuild America is a chance for us to learn more about entering the US market and will enable us to identify key trends, opportunities and challenges.”

The event is set to take place in Las Vegas from 18 to 20 October 2022 with more than 8,000 people expected to attend, along with over 400 exhibitors, business representatives have said. UAP is set to be located at stand 9024 in the ‘British Pavilion’.

Barry added: “The event also provides an effective platform for us to demonstrate the breadth and quality of our range. We’re hoping to speak with potential distributors to explore how we could work together and what UAP products could meet the needs of their customers now and in the future.”

“We hope to use the insights from the show to establish a long-term strategy, including whether we need to adapt our current products or launch new ones specifically for the US market. It’s an exciting time for our business and we’re looking forward to beginning a journey that could, for the first time, see UAP have a strong presence in North America.”
