Framexpress supplies frames for Hagley care home

A team from Framexpress has installed a range of products for a luxury care home in Hagley, Warwickshire. Working alongside Stepnell (the contractor) and Harris Irwin Architects, a team from the trade fabricator fitted Optima PVC-U windows and doors – including chamfered PVC-U windows, PVC-U double doors and single-leaf doors – in the new Cinnamon Care Home.

The building includes 59 bedrooms and 4 care suites. It was built with strip foundations, brick and block masonry and a timber truss and cut roof.

PVC-U glazing materials were chosen after successfully achieving high aesthetic standards and regulations. Framexpress was chosen as the fabricator and supplier for the project due to the firm’s 25-year track record of delivering accurately manufactured, high-specification products, the fabricator’s representative explained.

Anthracite grey and white colour options were used externally and internally, and the products also benefited from 4mm toughened outer pane glass, PAS 24 certification, chrome key or level locking handles and a 18mm argon-filled super spacer cavity. Fire exit doors were also fitted that had concealed gearing, no external access and a push panic bar in order to provide a high level of protection.

“Framexpress has been a pleasure to work with throughout the build of Cinnamon Care,” said Steve Hollins, Stepnell’s project manager. “They not only provided us with first-class products but the efficiency and workmanship were second to none.

“With more than 25 years in the industry, their experience really shone through. The whole team was professional and came to the site with a can-do attitude every day.

“We were so impressed with the service and products that we have put them forward for another project we have in the pipeline, which will see the construction of a new 71-bed care home that’s also being built in Warwick. We’re looking forward to working with the Framexpress team again soon, as well as using their top-quality products.”

Sarah Price, Framexpress’ commercial sales manager, added: “It’s fantastic to see the Cinnamon Care Home project come together. At Framexpress, we pride ourselves on supplying high-quality, high-specification products as standard, and to have our quality recognised for not one but two projects is incredibly rewarding.

“The Stepnell team was a pleasure to work with and we are happy that we could provide a high-quality range of products and deliver them on time and without any issues.” For more information about Framexpress, visit the fabricator’s website.
