Origin, manufacturer of bi-folding doors, windows and blinds, has recently celebrated the anniversary of its premium quality flush casement window.

The company says that the window has proved to be very successful since its launch at the FIT Show in 2014, with sales contributing to a 34% rise in Origin’s year-on-year turnover.

Neil Ginger, CEO at Origin, said: “The adoption rate from our trade customers has been incredibly high, with 88% now offering the Origin Window. We’re extremely pleased about how the window has been received by both trade and consumer customers, which is reflected in a large number of agents displaying it in their showrooms.”

The Origin Window was reportedly introduced in response to demand from trade partners who were seeking a window to match the quality and aesthetics of Origin’s bi-folding door system. Designed and engineered at the company’s High Wycombe factory by Neil Ginger and the internal R&D team, Origin says the window has also allowed it to grow its network of display agents. It has also led to increased orders for the company’s bi-fold doors.

Neil Ginger said: “Giving homeowners the choice of having windows to match their bi-fold doors has boosted our overall sales. The number of customers ordering with Origin has risen by 41% in the last year alone.”

“When we launched the window we knew that customers would want the same standard of customer service that they receive when ordering our doors. As a result, we have cut the lead time on our window system to just one week – a record for the window industry.

“We now plan to reduce this lead time even further, matching the zero lead time ‘Your Lead Time, Not Ours’ service offered on the Origin Bi-fold Door.”
