Deceuninck sponsors G23 Awards

Leaders of Deceuninck have sponsored this year’s G Awards (G23). The brand is a main sponsor of the G23 event, which set to take place on 24 November at the Hilton on London’s Park Lane. The G Awards exist to celebrate excellence and innovation within the glass and glazing industry.

“We’re eagerly looking forward to the G23 Awards, and are delighted to be sponsoring the event,” said Rob McGlennon, Deceuninck’s managing director. “There have been some great entries this year, and we’d like to wish everyone good luck. See you all in November!”

At last year’s G Awards, representatives of Deceuninck received the Sustainability Initiative of the Year Award, which recognised the systems company’s continued efforts to drive sustainability as a key industry focus. Read about the other winners of the G22 awards here.

The Deceuninck team actively participates in the Science Based Targets programme. The team’s primary commitment involves reducing CO2 emissions from their own operations (scopes 1 and 2) by 60% before 2030. This is measured from a 2021 baseline. The Deceuninck team is also committed to cutting emissions from within its supply chain (scope 3 emissions) by 48% per tonne by 2030, as part of a wider journey to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Deceuninck’s dedication to sustainability was further supported by a multi-million-pound investment in Europe’s most advanced recycling and compounding facilities. The company’s recycling facility gives it the capacity to reprocess up to 45,000 tonnes of post-consumer and post-manufacturing PVC-U each year.

Ahead of winning the G22 award last year, Rob said: “Sustainability is fast becoming a prerequisite for growth and profitability. We’re committed to working with our customers and the wider industry to make sure that we are doing everything we can to lower greenhouse gas emissions and the impact of our operations on the environment.”
