Dessian shortlisted for Fabricator of the Year at first attempt

Rehau Rehau fabricator, Dessian Products, has been named as one of just three finalists in the Fabricator of the Year category at this November’s G-Awards in its very first year of entering.

The Belfast based company celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2015, so being shortlisted for what is perhaps the most prestigious award on the night is a fantastic anniversary achievement.

Managing director, Nigel Bothwell, said: “This is a great accolade for Dessian and recognises our 30 years of hard work as well as our exciting vision for the future.

“We based our entry on our achievements since the recession and on the fact that we have increased turnover by more than 50% in just three years with major investments being made in machinery, infrastructure, transport and staff.

“We now produce around 2,500 frames per week and supply trade customers across the whole of the UK and Ireland. What makes us stand out though, and what I think helped to get us onto the shortlist, is our overwhelming commitment to customer service. We measure customer satisfaction through quarterly surveys and we currently have 96% of our customers saying that they would recommend us to other businesses.

“We also operate a mantra which says that we will always ‘do the right thing’ and that extends beyond how we treat our customers and suppliers and includes our environmental management policies and our ongoing support for the local communities in which we operate.

“We have already received our judges’ visit and we enjoyed demonstrating our achievements – it has been a very positive experience to date. We were encouraged to enter by Rehau, our partners for 29 of our 30 years, and I’m delighted that we did because it’s already given every member of the team here a real boost. It’s been great to be nominated but obviously it would be even better to win!”
