Renovations and remodelling activities are on the rise in several regions across the globe, say the analysts. Demand for modern doors and windows is not just give a renewed look to buildings but to increase the structural durability too, they argue. Populations across the globe are experiencing a steady rise in their disposable income, leading to increased demand in both residential and commercial spaces. Construction and infrastructure activities are also on the rise in developing economies, with governments increasing investments in this sector.

Sustainable living
The European windows and door market is set to reach a valuation of more than $49.37bn by 2027, according to Graphical Research. It argues that Europe is one of the first regions to have realised the importance and benefits of sustainable living, leading to the European Union’s codes and rules supporting energy efficiency. The demand for energy-saving homes and buildings is on the rise as well, paving the way for modern architecture in doors and windows, Graphical Research says.

Commercial construction investments
The demand for commercial construction has been on a steady rise due to increased demand for office spaces. Governments have also increased investments in the construction and infrastructure industry to promote the development of smart commercial spaces. These spaces, with the help of energy-efficient doors and windows, can turn into state-of-the-art infrastructure, Graphical Research claims. Commercial buildings require doors and windows that are safe from dangers like burglary and fire, which also creates growth opportunities for manufacturers.

PVC
Based on raw material data, PVC-U will witness steady growth in demand in windows and doors market in Europe, Graphical Research predicts. It says that regional market share from PVC-U will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5% through 2027.

China
China will significantly contribute towards the growth of windows and doors market in Asia Pacific region, predicts the research company, citing growing construction activity across industries like education, healthcare, construction and retail, as the cause. The population in the country is rising tremendously, leading to increased need for advanced infrastructure. China is also witnessing rapid increase in urbanisation and commercialisation, say analysts, with an increased proportion of the population demanding smart residential spaces.

Residential demand in Asia Pacific
The Asia Pacific windows and doors market will be worth more than a whopping $92.1bn by the end of 2027, according to market reports. The residential segment will witness particular increased demand among end users in Asia Pacific region, Graphical Research predicts.

Governments across Asia Pacific are providing grants to promote the construction of residential spaces. Renovations are on the rise toom because of increased disposable income among the regional population. This trend is expected to grow, benefiting the window and door markets in the region.

Aluminium doors and windows, and green construction in North America
Graphical Research predicts increased use of aluminium in North America. The metal has seen a substantial increase in demand between 2016 and 2019, it found.

Demand for green construction is on the rise in the region, including demand for wooden/timber framing. Architects will look for products that have negative global warming potential, Graphical Research predicts, in order to earn financial benefits and tax relief in the future.

Commercial doors and windows in North America
The north America window and door market is reported to become worth $39bn by the end of the year 2026. The commercial door and window segment will especially grow, Graphical Research predicts, as offices in the IT industry prefer using glass doors and windows. Commercial building developers will look to construct buildings that are more energy efficient and resistant to excessive heat as well. This will have a positive impact on the region’s industry, according to Graphical Research.
