GGF revises consumer code

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) has launched its revised Consumer Code of Practice, for member companies that sell direct to consumers. The new code takes into account legislation that affects both consumers and companies.

Peter Stuttard, the GGF’s head of membership, said: “Given the circumstances over the last 18 months, the GGF felt it was essential to update the consumer code to reflect changes and to make sure that what we are asking of GGF ,embers, and what consumers are expecting when they employ a GGF member, is legal, correct and accurate.”

The amendments in the code were checked by the GGF’s legal advisers and also approved by the chairs of the consumer management group and marketing communications committee. The code will be available for consumers to view and download from the GGF’s consumer advice website, www.myglazing.com.

The code is also available to download for free from the GGF website, here. Printed copies are available from the GGF Shop with prices starting at £1.75 per copy. Members wanting to order multiple copies can request a discount.
