Glazing Summit gets green light

Organisers of the Glazing Summit, an annual industry conference in October, have renewed their excitement after last week’s announcement of a UK ‘roadmap’ out of lockdown restrictions. The Glazing Summit unites industry leaders for a day series of panel debates, discussions and networking with experts from across the world, allowing attendees to share trends and developments that affect the sector.

Andrew Scott, founder of the Glazing Summit, said: “The window, door and conservatory industry has always been a face-to-face sector, where people want to meet, discuss business and share ideas. With the restrictions lifted from June, there is already a buzz of excitement for the Glazing Summit.

“After over a year of restrictions, the industry is bursting with ideas, innovations and developments. The Glazing Summit gives industry leaders the opportunity to come together in a safe, professional setting to once again discuss the future of the industry, debate issues and connect with like-minded industry leaders.”

Despite the restrictions being lifted, the organisers will ensure that the event takes place in a safe environment, so numbers will be restricted. “At the previous Glazing Summit, we had over 400 guests and the event sold out within eight weeks,” explained Andrew. “This year, we’ll restrict the numbers but we’ve already had over 100 seats booked.”

This year’s conference takes place on 7 October, at Edgbaston Stadium and Conference Centre, Birmingham. The event is supported by companies including Yale, Reynaers aluminium, Edgetech and ODL. www.glazingsummit.co.uk
