HiTech expands into new facility

Specialist integral blind manufacturer, Hitech Blinds, has moved to a new 8,000ft2 state-of-the-art facility.

Completed at the end of December, its relocation gives HiTech Blinds significantly increased capacity as well as the space for manufacture of its’ new aluminium rooflight blind system.

Ian Woolley, sales director at HiTech Blinds, said: “We’re currently manufacturing around 500 IGUs with integrated blinds a week following significant growth throughout the last year.

“The move to our new site allows us to manufacture in excess of 1,000 IGUs with blinds a week, plus our new HiTech TRL90 rooflight with automatic blind. It gives us the capacity to grow but do so sustainably.”

HiTech Blinds started production of its new aluminium rooflight system at the beginning of this year. The system is said to be suitable for new build installation or retro-fit and is manufactured in an ultra-slim, high performance and thermally broken aluminium profile.

Ian continued: “We have a very strong offer. The increased demand that we have seen for our core product has been phenomenal. We fully expect that to be emulated with the rooflight.

“It’s primed for home improvement and commercial applications and with a fully integrated and motorised pleated blind system, supplied as standard, it’s a genuinely unique product proposition. We can’t see quite why you would – but we can also supply it with a standard unit.
