New jobs created in Hinckley

Northern Building Plastics (NBP) has created 15 jobs at its 30,000ft² Hinckley depot on Lime Kiln Lane. The newly opened depot offers customers in the midlands access to plastics brands for trades working in roofline, drainage, composite decking, cladding, insulation, sealants and other sectors.

NBP already has two depots in Leeds and Bolton. The business chose Hinckley as the location of its third depot, to facilitate expansion into the midlands. Customers in the region will benefit from faster deliveries of more products, as stock levels are kept high at all locations.

Heading up the depot is experienced manager Phil Durnall, who said: “We have £1m of stock in the depot, which means we can offer next-day delivery on thougsands of products. It’s this top level of service that separates us from competitors.”

Phil added: “We already have four new vehicles out and about on the roads, fulfilling orders. That’s only going to increase as we add new customers.”

Steve Jones, NBP’s sales director, said: “This new midlands depot in Hinckley provides even greater support to customers, and seals our commitment to next-day delivery on a massive range of products. We can achieve this promise, as NBP’s model has super-sized depots filled with stock, to support customers who like the convenience of knowing products are available fast.

“We expect 40 jobs to be created in total, including drivers, warehousing and sales roles, with the rest being filled in the next few months as the number of customers grows.” Opening the new Hinckley depot is part of NBP’s plan to offer more coverage across the UK. Further ‘super-sized depots’ are planned. For more information, visit nbp.co.uk.
