The People in Glazing Society’s (Pigs) latest event attracted more than 200 glazing industry leaders. The networking party took place on 29 September at the Revolucion De Cuba bar in Birmingham.

Sarah Ball, Pigs’ organiser, said: “There was an amazing buzz in the room and everyone looked to be having a great time. The band, Ellie Jones and the Giants, were superb once again, and it was lovely to see so many new faces there, as well as lots of regulars.

“I’d also like to say a personal thanks to everyone who has bought one of our Pigs badges at events this year. We have raised more than £700 in donations, plus lots more direct to my JustGiving page, for We Mind and Kelly Matters, which has been our chosen charity this year. The money is vital to support the work they do for suicide prevention, as well as raising awareness and understanding of mental health.”

Sarah also thanked all of Pigs’ sponsors for the support. The 35 sponsors for Birmingham were: Abcell, AGC, Alutech Systems, APS, Arkay Windows, Bison Frames UK, Brownhills Glass Company, Business Pilot, Comp Door, Easy Vent, Edgetech, Emplas, Extrudaseal, Fit Show, the Georgian Bar Company, Glass Express, Glazerite, Glazpart, Kubu, Mackenzie Glass, Mi Glass, Origin Frames, QANW, Quickslide, RegaLead, Reynaers Aluminium, Selecta Systems, SOL Conservatory Roofs, Supalite, Thermoseal Group, UK Doors Online, Unique Window Systems, Vertik-Al, Window Ware, and Yale Door and Window Solutions.

The final Pigs event of the year is set to take place on 19 October in Las Vegas, to coincide with GlassBuild America. Pigs events for 2023 are yet to be announced.
