Shelforce supervisor Maxine makes G23 shortlist

Judges of this year’s G Awards (G23) have nominated Maxine Ryder, production supervisor at Shelforce, for the Unsung Hero Award. The award recognises people who have ‘gone above and beyond’. The G23 Awards are due to take place on Friday 24 November at the the London Hilton on Park Lane hotel.

Maxine provides support to 28 team members on the Shelforce factory floor, and is responsible for the production and dispatch of all products. She has worked at the Birmingham-based company for 15 years, and now manages employees of varying needs. Maxine also supports the workforce outside of the factory in their daily lives, whenever they need it.

“Maxine is an inspiration to everyone here at Shelforce,” said Howard Trotter, Shelforce’s business manager. “She really does go above and beyond.

“She demonstrates real leadership and has a personal commitment to supporting the team, which is why she excels in the role. Maxine gets the best out of every individual. Thanks to her support, the team is extremely loyal to her.

“It has always been about the team for Maxine, so this recognition by the G Awards is fantastic for her. It is testament to the important role that she plays within our team, and in our success.”
