An installation training event for Ultraroof was recently attended by around 70 installer customers of Ultraframe fabricator, Maitlands Conservatories of Pershore.
The course equipped attendees with best practice knowledge in both theory and practical ‘hands-on’ tips about fitting the tiled roofing system – declared the ‘consumer-preferred’ tiled roof during research carried out earlier in the year by Ultraframe.
Facilitated by Ultraframe’s expert in solid roofing systems alongside training manager, Phil Wharf, the course aimed to increase installation speeds of Ultraroof, which is already said to be the fastest roof of its type to install, by at least 10%.
Phil Wharf said: “While our Ultraroof system continues to grow in popularity, we were blown away by the huge number of Maitland’s customers who attended the installation course we put on with them recently. Half of the day focused on specification and surveying, with the other half being a hands-on opportunity to get involved with an actual installation and learn best practice tips to save time on site. Feedback from attendees was excellent with many saying they had learned lots of useful information and were now far more confident about selling, designing and fitting Ultraroof.”
The course was aimed at those with both management supervisory positions, as well as more hands-on installation and fitter responsibilities and just a few of the topics covered included specifying soffit widths for different conditions, practical survey issues and solutions, specifying box gutters, and intrusions. All attendees received a certificate which supports their Continuous Professional Development.
