Stevenswood, the manufacturer and supplier of windows, doors, bi-fold doors, kitchens and conservatories, has appointed Sarah Starkey as sales development director, reinforcing ambitious growth plans that have already seen the Scottish based fabricator and trade supplier move into a spacious new HQ and open four new Local Trade Centres in the last 12 months.

The new, 55,000ft2 Stevenswood HQ opened in July 2015 and occupies a five acre site, incorporating the company’s factory, showroom and offices. The HQ is complemented by Stevenswood’s growing network of Local Trade Centres. All existing sites have been, or will be, relocated to bigger premises as part of the plan and two new Local Trade Centres will open in Spring 2016 for Edinburgh Sighthill and Edinburgh Seafield.

According to Stevenswood, supporting Local Trade Centres with expert knowledge and back up is vital for the success of the business, a role for which the company believes Sarah is ‘ideally suited’.

Sarah said: “The number of products the Local Trade Centres offer is much bigger than before, which means there’s space to show the products to the best advantage. We want customers to use the showrooms as their own. They can bring in homeowners to see the full range of products and the high level of finish.

“It means homeowners get more involved in the technical aspects of products. And that’s where my skills come in. I’ve been making sure everyone’s knowledge is up to speed on value added products. I’m also on hand to deal with technical queries from trade centre team members and customers. These are exciting times and I’m very happy to be part of the future at Stevenswood.”
