Composite project from Prefix

Another Opus Composite Project For PrefixPrefix Systems has carried out another ‘impressive’ installation for Opus, its luxury composite window, door and roof system, which involved the design and installation of windows and doors into two garden room extensions in West Yorkshire.

Opus is described as a luxury brand, offering the durability of aluminium on the outside, with the ‘sheer beauty’ of hardwood timber on the inside.

This latest project was carried out in a period inspired Chartwell green colour and involved two large gable end windows, casement windows and two sets of French doors.

Additional structural strength was added to both installations, one to the side and the other to the rear elevation, due to the project size and weight of the roof. According to Prefix, this has made for a ‘stylish hardwood feature’ in each room. Opus has also been designed as a system for bi-folding doors, along with lantern and conservatory roof options, thanks to the joinery expertise from its dedicated manufacturing site in Yorkshire.

Chris Baron, co-director of Prefix Systems said: “Opus combines the best attributes of both aluminium and timber into a single, luxury glazing solution as our recent projects and case studies have shown.

“Our product range is becoming ever more diverse as installers look for a wider range of value added products, for an ever more discerning consumer. Our customers feel that we’re the perfect partner of choice for the extending living space market and we’re proactively looking to build on this reputation with continued investment and product innovation.”
