‘Even more customer-friendly’

rotoHardware supplier, VBH, has announced the imminent arrival of PatioFold, the new bi-fold door hardware from German manufacturer Roto-Frank.

The system has been engineered to provide a maximum sash weight of 100Kg on bottom running doors, or a ‘respectable’ 80Kg on top runners. VBH advises that the bogie assemblies feature ample height adjustment to aid installation, and large diameter wheels and lateral guides provide ‘extremely smooth’ running, even with such a high weight capacity.

The roller track has been designed to provide protection against the wheels becoming accidentally disengaged.

VBH customers using Roto’s PatioFold Enhanced low threshold will find that there is no need to remove the bottom horizontal sash leg. The doors close against the side of the threshold to provide excellent air and water tightness through an all-round gasket seal.

VBH marketing manager, Gary Gleeson, said: “We introduced the new PatioFold hinges this autumn, and expect to be offering the complete new system by year-end. PatioFold builds on the features of the outgoing Patio 6080 system that it replaces. 6080 was very popular with door manufacturers and we can see that Roto have made their bi-fold solution even more customer-friendly with the launch of PatioFold. It will form a major part of our bi-fold selection that offers solutions for PVC-U, aluminium and timber doors.”
