Crystal Clear winners

Crystal Clear Bristol has been announced as the first winner in the Atlas Installation of the Month competition.

The monthly competition, which began in April, has already attracted dozens of talented Atlas orangery, conservatory and rooflight installers who were eager to showcase their creative flair and high standards of workmanship.

Crystal Clear Bristol was a worthy winner for its installation of a 16-pane Atlas lantern roof in a Grade II listed townhouse in the heart of Bristol. The company had been working with the owners of the property for some years and had replaced a large number of timber sliding sash windows, residential doors and French doors.

When the owners discussed replacing the original lantern roof, Crystal Clear suggested a white aluminium Atlas lantern roof with solar control and low maintenance, self-cleaning glass to complement their home.

The Atlas judging panel says it was impressed with the ‘sympathetic’ installation of the contemporary and thermally efficient lantern, which is said to have made a ‘stunning focal point’ in the property.

Gareth Thomas, sales and marketing director at Atlas Glazed Roof Solutions, said: “We’ve had a fantastic response to the Installation of the Month and members of our Atlas installer network have been really excited to show off some superb installations, including some excellent projects with our new Skyroom contemporary orangery. The quality of the entries was very high but this installation by Crystal Clear Bristol really stood out because it was a novel use of a modern Atlas lantern in a traditional setting. Crystal Clear demonstrated strong credentials in the design and installation of this lantern and they are deserving champions.”

James Mizen, managing director of Crystal Clear Bristol, added: “We were so pleased to be the first winners of the Atlas Installation of the Month, which marks our commitment to deliver well designed, high quality installations to our customers. Although it was a challenging project, the installation of the Atlas lantern was quick and simple and took just two days. The end result is really impressive and the customer is delighted with their new lantern.”

Crystal Clear Bristol won a £200 Screwfix voucher and a £50 Majestic Wine voucher. Their installation will be entered into the award finals for Atlas Installer of the Year.

The Atlas judging team is on the lookout for more entries of Atlas conservatory product installations, including orangeries, lanterns, conservatories, verandas, lean-tos and the new Skyroom. To increase their chances of winning, entrants are encouraged to submit ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos to demonstrate the results of their installation.
