Pure and simple

Senior Architectural Systems has launched a new Pure commercial door system – the manufacturer’s largest, strongest and most flexible aluminium door system to date.
The launch of the new Pure commercial door is set to strengthen Senior’s existing range of commercial aluminium doors, which includes the SD, SPW600e, SPW500 and SPW501 systems. According to Senior, the door is ideally suited for use across a number of different markets, from schools and office developments to retail and residential schemes and has been designed for fast fabrication and easy installation.

Available as a standard, electronic-locking and panic-exit system, Senior’s heavy duty Pure commercial door is reported to offer exceptional flexibility and is supported by an online technical manual with an ‘easy to use’ filter function to select the desired configurations and options. With a choice of different door styles, design options and configurations – including various thresholds and rebates – the system is also available with a floating mullion on double doors to achieve an even larger entrance area.

Benefiting from the same slim sightlines and patented Pur thermal break as Senior’s Pure aluminium windows and patio doors, the new Pure door is said to provide a ‘secure and efficient’ solution for medium and high traffic areas where frequent access is required.
Designed to perform up to a maximum leaf size of 1,400mm x 3,000mm and 180Kg, the Pure commercial door system can achieve ‘U’ Values as low as 0.94 W/m2K when calculated as a CEN Standard door and is able to receive double or triple glazing from 28-60mm for maximum thermal and acoustic performance.

Fully compatible with Senior’s range of aluminium windows, curtain walling and additional door systems, the new Pure commercial door can also be specified in an almost unlimited choice of colours and finishes both inside and out, thanks to Senior’s in-house powder coating facility.

Awarded a UK patent in 2016, the Pure system is the first on the UK market to benefit from an enhanced thermal barrier manufactured from expanded polyurethane foam (PUR).
