Roof Assured by Sarnafil is piloting an online tool to provide installers with insight into the demographics of their areas, to help identify opportunities for growth through understanding the characteristics of the population.
,Using the Experian online demographics tool, installers are provided with a summary demographics overview and a detailed full report based on the drive time/geographical distance of their business postcode.
,Rod Benson, business unit manager, Sika Roofing, said: “This is part of our commitment to support our approved installer network with marketing, training, and lead generation. Society has changed so much in the last 10 years with housing, ageing and technology shifts all having a role to play, and we want to do all we can to help installers understand their marketplace. It’s about increasing revenue by attracting new customers to the Roof Assured products and services.”
,The demographics can also be used by installers if they are producing a business plan, as it gives postcode-relevant data analysis, rather than the generic data that is usually available online.
,The insight team at Roof Assured will be measuring and evaluating feedback from the pilot, before rolling it out to their wider installer network.
,Rod Benson continued: “Ideally we would like a demographics report to be part of the package we give to all new installers but, for the moment, we are producing reports for existing installers and getting their feedback.”
