AluK returns as G Awards sponsor for 2023

The AluK team has supported this year’s G Awards (G23) as a main sponsor, following on from their sponsorship of last year’s awards. The G23 Awards, which exists to celebrate the best of the glass and glazing industry, are scheduled to be presented on Friday 24 November at the London Hilton hotel on Park Lane.

“The G Awards are all about celebrating excellence, innovation and success right across the industry,” explained Wayne Heath, AluK’s sales director. “We’re proud to be amongst the big-name brands giving our backing to that.

“Some exciting new award categories have been added since we last sponsored in 2021, including Best Business Initiative, Machinery Supplier of the Year and industry Rising Star. I’m sure we’ll see some new names in the spotlight when the judges release the lists of nominations very shortly.

“We’re really looking forward to sharing all the build up, and the evening itself, with customers and colleagues alike, and we can’t wait to be back at the iconic Hilton Park Lane venue.”

The AluK team has won the G Awards’ Customer Care Initiative of the Year Award for two years in a row (see our coverage of last year’s win, here.) Last year’s award focussed on the AluK team’s response to Part L, ensuring that customers understood what the changes would mean and giving them tools to comply across every market.

In 2021, the AluK team was awarded the G Awards Customer Care Award for creating an online marketing academy of free tools and advice to customers as they navigated their way out of the Covid-19-fuelled lockdowns.

After last year’s award was presented, Wayne said: “As a supplier, we recognise just how important it is that we add value to our customers’ businesses, whether that comes in the form of sales and marketing support, technical advice, new product development or training. With two G Awards in two years for customer care, we’re clearly getting lots of things right.”
