Anglian wins five year window contract

anglianAnglian Building Products (Anglian) has been appointed by Knightstone Housing to undertake work to replace windows and doors as part of a major, multi-million pound investment by the housing association. The contract will commence June 2014.

,Over the next five years, Anglian will supply and fit doors and windows to resident’s homes in the west of the country, with an opportunity to extend the contract to 10 years.

,When putting the tender requirements together, Knightstones worked closely with its residents to ensure they found the right contractors for the job. Supporting evidence for the tender had to include ‘a proven track record in delivering exceptional products and services.’

,Anglian passed a ‘rigorous’ selection programme, which included interviews and site visits with Knightstone’s staff and residents. The company also had to prove its commitment to local communities, evidencing apprenticeship, training and other social values.

,Mark Beard, director of customer and community operations at Knightstone, said: “These are five year contracts with an opportunity to extend to 10 years, meaning our contractors can really invest in their services and provide consistency to residents in the long term”.

,Nigel Wardle, Anglian operations director, said: “We are delighted to be appointed as the sole window and door contractor for Knightstone Housing. The client evaluation was incredibly thorough with assessments on site, at our offices and at our factories. This contract will see us integrating IT systems providing the client with real-time project information”
