NBP opens new Birtley depot

Northern Building Plastics (NBP) has opened a new, 33,000ft² depot in the north east. Based in Birtley, the new depot holds more than £1m of stock, including fascias, soffits, rainwater goods, lightweight roofing, composite decking and window trims. By opening the site, NBP’s leaders aim to give builders, roofers and window fitters across the north east access to thousands of building products, and to further strengthen NBP’s delivery service.

Situated at Portobello Trade Park, near Junction 64 of the A1(M), the new depot offers free next-day delivery service to customers across the region. “Customers always tell us how much they love our speedy and reliable delivery service, and the location of our new Birtley depot will allow us to expand this to even more companies,” said Jono Green, Northern Building Plastics’ managing director.

“Our delivery service is part of our unique business proposal. We keep high levels of stock and have a fleet of 65 vehicles across our four depots, enabling us to deliver products direct to site next-day, completely free of charge, with no minimum order value.

“We already have many happy customers in the north east who have benefitted from using our Leeds depot, and the demand for our products and service in the region has been growing. The dedicated Birtley depot will now allow us to strengthen our service in this area.”

NBP opened its first depot in Leeds in 2010, before rolling out an expansion plan by opening new locations in Bolton and Hinckley. Read more about NBP online at nbp.co.uk.
