Pilkington United Kingdom, part of the NSG group, has manufactured more than a quarter of a million insulating glass units (IGUs) for Jeld-Wen, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of timber windows, doors and stairs, since it first started working with the company.

The collaboration has seen Jeld-Wen’s range of UK manufactured, environmentally-friendly timber windows, patios and exterior doorsets, fitted with Pilkington energiKare glass since the two companies began working together.

John Spiby, national sales manager – domestic products at Pilkington, said: “Many of today’s homeowners are looking for ways to improve the energy-efficiency of their properties, and the use of high-performance glass products in windows and doors is a common step in achieving this.

“Through investment in research and development we’ve been able to continue to bring high performing products to market, and this milestone is testament not only to the quality of the Pilkington energiKare range, but to the strong relationship we have built with the team at Jeld-Wen.”

Tony Pell, senior product manager for frames at Jeld-Wen, said: “Pilkington is a brand renowned for the quality of its products and we have built a strong relationship with the company, enabling us to continue providing customers with the best when it comes to both products and service.

“Supplier relationships play an integral role in our overall customer offering and by enlisting recognised, quality brands as our sole suppliers and providing products from the Pilkington range as standard, we are adding huge value to our window and door ranges.”
