The Glazerite UK Group’s annual charity race evening took place on November 16, with over 140 guests attending the event. Held at the Wolverhampton Racecourse for the third successive year, the evening kicked off with the horseracing, followed by a three-course meal and a disco.

This year’s event raised nearly £600 for The Lewis Foundation. The charity supplies gift packs for patients undergoing cancer treatment in and around hospitals local to Northamptonshire.

Michelle Wright, Glazerite’s Group marketing manager, said: “We’ve been supporting The Lewis Foundation for a while. It’s a fantastic charity which has this year given out a staggering 15,000 gift packs to patients. We’re really proud to be able to support it again with our race night.”

Gary Copp, from Goldseal Conservatories, commented: “The race night was the best we’ve attended so far. We’ve worked with Glazerite for many years, and we would like to thank them for a wonderful evening and for the opportunity to support the Lewis Foundation. A good night was had by all!”

K2 Aluminium Systems’ Liam Bird and his wife, Paula, were delighted to meet leading jockey, Hayley Turner OBE, on the night. Liam said: “Hayley was riding the Queen’s horse, Eightsome Reel, at the meet and it was really interesting to meet her.”

Jason Thompson, Glazerite’s Director, says: “The event is a great way for us to thank our customers for their continued loyalty. It’s always a great night, and a good opportunity for our customers, staff and suppliers to get together in an informal way. We are also delighted to have raised so much money for the Lewis Foundation at the same time.”
