Raising the roof

Reports of record levels of interest in conservatories, despite the impact of COVID-19, will be the boost the sector needs as the country slowly starts getting back on its feet, says SupaLite MD, Steve Hacking.

And according to Steve, the high-performance SupaLite Tiled Roof System and Sky Vista glass system will be in increased demand as a result.

“After months of lockdown, not to mention the recent spell of fantastic weather, homeowners are gaining a new appreciation of their homes with a renewed desire to increase their living space and bring the outdoors in,” said Steve.

“They will be looking at ways to achieve it, whether through replacing their inefficient conservatory with a retro-fit product or investing in a brand-new conservatory, complete with a high-performance solid tiled roof.”

The SupaLite Tiled Roof System uses lightweight aluminium beams and rafters, 100mm high-density insulation and high-performance ExtraLight roof tiles to achieve a ‘U’ value rating of 0.18W/m²K, while Sky Vista is said to have ‘excellent’ ‘U’ value properties, effective solar control and self-cleaning glass. According to SupaLite, both systems are easy to install and fully accredited for Building Regulations approval.

“With interest in conservatories rocketing, our range of replacement conservatory roof systems can provide ambitious installers with a valuable route to market and good profit margins,” added Steve.

SupaLite has a dedicated training space and showroom site near its headquarters in Preston for its installer partners to utilise.
