Central to operations

Matthew Kelly, operations director for Central Window Systems

Full-solution fabricator, Central Window Systems, has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of a new operations director: Matthew Kelly. The appointment aims to ensure seamless processes across the company’s PVC-U division.

With qualifications in engineering and lean project management, Matthew Kelly joins the Midlands-based fabricator with 15 years of strategic management, operational expertise and sales experience behind him. Before joining Central, he spent seven years as executive plant manager for Pollard Windows in Ontario, Canada, a window fabricator that makes up to 4,000 frames and 6,000 glass sealed units per week. Now an integral part of Central’s senior management team, Matthew is in charge of overseeing the company’s PVC-U division, ensuring smooth operation and transitions from order to delivery.

Matthew has also played a vital role in implementing Central’s additional work shift, which has seen a significant increase in capacity. This has led to shorter lead times and greater customer satisfaction.

“We are here to build an incredible team to help us grow together – people that care and are totally focused on our customers’ experience, from order processing through to manufacturing and after sales,” said Matthew. “Central Window Systems is people-centric and a great place to work, which is something that we need to keep as we push forward with growth, product innovation and quality.

“The company has an impressive product portfolio to offer, which is boosted by excellent customer service. I’ve been honoured to join the business and use my experience in lean project management to help take it even further.”

Gary Morton, CEO of Central Window Systems, added: “Matthew has been a great addition to the senior management team and will add huge value over a long period of time. His fundamental knowledge of window fabrication and the fenestration industry were key drivers in our choice and his sense of humour also fits into the management style we enjoy here at Central. We’re delighted to have him join us, and we look forward to seeing him take the company further.”

Working from its 52,000ft² manufacturing facility, Central Window Systems provides aluminium and PVC-U windows, doors and conservatories, as well as extensive curtain wall and roof light systems. For more information, call 0121 500 0505, or visit www.centralwindowsystems.co.uk.
