JPJ founders to step down after successful MBO

The founders of JPJ Installations – John, Paul and John – are to step down from their roles next Monday (24 April 2023), following a successful MBO by JPJ’s managing director, Richard Mackenzie. The MBO project has been in the making for several years, JPJ’s representative has reported, and much care has been taken to ensure that changes within the business were carried out gradually. The final transition is expected to be as seamless as possible. The first phase was formally completed on the 23rd April 2018.

Richard has been with JPJ almost since its inception 26 years ago. He started as a fixers mate, moving on to installation supervisor some years later. He served the business as project manager for several years after first being promoted to the role in 2009. After this he was became managing director in 2012.

JPJ has become one of the UK’s leading architectural aluminium manufacturers and has strong relationships with tier one and two contractors as well as smaller, regional construction companies. “Our success has been primarily built on a philosophy of hard work, honesty, flexibility and a desire to meet our client’s needs in an efficient manner,” said the firm’s representative. “These ethics have been in place since the creation of the company by John, Paul and John, and will be taken forward by Richard and the senior team. Richard is entrenched in the company’s existing culture, and this will be preserved and continued for our clients going forward.”
