Siegenia’s technical manager makes G23 shortlist

Judges of this year’s G Awards (G23) have named Joe Ward, Siegenia’s technical manager, as a finalist for the Rising Star Award. The winners for all categories are to be announced at the G23 Awards presentation ceremony at London Hilton Park Lane hotel on 24 November.

“Joe joined the company at the age of 17 as an apprentice,” said Siegenia’s representative. “Thanks to his talent and impressive work ethic, he was promoted to become head of Siegenia’s UK technical department at just 24, making him one of, if not the, youngest in such a role across the country.

“Achieving finalist status in the G23 Awards Rising Star category gives wider industry recognition to Joe’s impressive career to date. For a long time now, he has been the authority on Siegenia UK products, providing specifications, training and general product advice not only for the company’s own sales staff but also for its distribution partners, fabricator customers and even end users. As a result, he has garnered a formidable reputation, both internally and externally.

“With product quality and a high level of technical support and customer service forming key tenets of the Siegenia brand, Joe’s role as technical manager is one that comes with a lot of responsibility. Yet, despite the increased responsibility and workload, he has continued to innovate to help strengthen the company’s customer service levels and grow the business by leading 75 hours’ worth of new product training sessions with distributors in the last year, which has resulted in increased engagement and new leads.”

Ryan Thompson, Siegenia UK’s general manager, added: “We are extremely proud of Joe for making the shortlist for the Rising Star Award. It is massively deserved as Joe is a crucial member of our team.

“His diligence and enthusiasm to take on new projects is what has led to his steep rise through the ranks. It is great to see his efforts recognised by the judging panel as we know that our partners and customers value Joe as much as we do.”
