Burg-Wächter’s Locktoberfest returns

Locktoberfest

German security provider Burg-Wächter has launched its ‘Locktoberfest’ campaign, using the traditional German festival Oktoberfest to highlight security issues. Organisers of the campaign aim to offer a fun way to get important security messages across to consumers.

With the cost of living crisis beginning to bite, home security and protecting possessions is of increasing concern for all consumers, representatives of the security specialist have argued. To highlight this issue and to support locksmiths, Burg-Wächter is running a series of promotions and competitions throughout October.

As part of Loctoberfest, locksmiths are set to get deals on a range of products – including cylinder locks, night latches, tubular latches, mortice locks, door chains and PVC-U window handles. Locksmiths could also win Burg-Wächter products of their choice. In addition, Locktoberfest is to be supported by a consumer campaign in key home-orientated titles, regional press and on social media.

Mark Pearson, Burg-Wächter’s commercial director, said: “As winter approaches, the cover of darkness gives criminals a significant advantage. Burg-Wächter’s Locktoberfest is an engaging way to not only highlight serious security issues but to also give locksmiths the opportunity to offer customers peace of mind that their homes are protected against break ins this winter.”
