The Glazerite UK Group hosted its annual pro-am golf day at Wellingborough Golf Club earlier this month, on Friday 8 July. The tournament coincided with the first anniversary of the Glazerite MBO, and the five-strong management team took part on the day. The tournament raised more than £5,400 for We Mind and Kelly Matters, Glazerite’s nominated charity.

The golfing event was made up of 30 teams, with Glazerite customers travelling from as far afield as Falkirk, Scotland, to take part. The winning team included Steve Hancox, Mick Plummer and Robert Smith from Goliath Homeworld, who played alongside PGA pro James Whatley. Mick also won the event’s ‘Nearest the Pin’ competition.

Rob Brearley, Glazerite’s group managing director, said: “Once again, Wellingborough Golf Club hosted a brilliant day and evening for us, and we were blessed with some fantastic weather. It was great to be joined by longstanding customers and suppliers as well as some new faces.”

Tim Taylor, commercial director at Veka UK Group, explained: “It was a pleasure to play in the annual Glazerite Golf Day. As a key Veka customer, it was also a great opportunity to spend time with the Glazerite board and a number of their installer customers as well as raise money for such a great charity. A very enjoyable day all round!”
