Bohle’s Lisa Liddle makes G23 Unsung Hero shortlist

Lisa Liddle, operations manager for Bohle

Lisa Liddle, Bohle’s operations manager, is a finalist in the Unsung Hero of the Year category of this year’s G Awards (G23), in recognition of the valuable contribution that she makes to the smooth running of the business. The G23 Awards are due to be presented on Friday 24 November, at the London Hilton on Park Lane hotel.

Earlier this year, Lisa celebrated 40 years of service at Bohle. She joined Berlyne Bailey in July 1983, thanks to the Youth Opportunities Programme, aged 16. Today, Lisa is one of the most influential and respected people in the company. She significantly contributes to the smooth running of the operational side of the business (everything except sales and finance).

“Within Bohle Group, Lisa is now recognised as the de facto number two,” said Dave Broxton, Bohle’s managing director. “She has come a long way from the shy, 16-year-old typist who first joined the business. I have seen her as comfortable entertaining the directors of our top customers as she is whipping up an impromptu buffet in the canteen for unexpected visitors to Bohle.

“Lisa is someone who gets the job done, whether it is developing a planned strategy for warehouse expansion or applying forensic attention to cost planning. I am proud to be associated with her shortlisted entry to the G Awards.

“After 40 years, she is simply irreplaceable and conducts herself at all times with a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. Although she is not widely known outside of the company, Lisa Liddle is the glue that holds our business together. In fact, when she goes, it will probably take two people to replace her.

“Everyone at Bohle wishes her all the best of luck!” For information about Bohle’s product and service offer, including the latest home improvements brochure, visit bohle.com. For the latest news about the G23 Awards, visit this link.
